2011 Italy Mixed Medium H 58.5” W 30” D 42.5 ‘‘ Created for A Banker. This very complexe sculpture depicts 4 major events that took place in my client’s life. I had 4 things to work with to create this sculpture. (1) Demonstrators stoned a bus that he was in while wearing his hat seen in the sculputre. (2) The jacket he cherished while attending College. (3 & 4) His son almost died in a hospital room where Max taught him how to play chess during his bout with meningitis. The paper Marché sculpture sits on a wood plant stand. One part of the plant stand was turned upside down and became a chessboard. There are two heads, one is the father and the other is his son. The arm and hand of the father comes out one sleeve and the arm and hand of the son comes out the other sleeve of the jacket. The child has his father in Checkmate. I added one more item to the sculpture. My client was obsessed with money and the stock markets. I decided to make his skin from clippings of the Italian Financial Times. This newspaper is printed on slightly pink paper resembling flesh tone.

1999 US Wood Mixed Medium H 7’ 6” W 24” D 24” I was asked to create a special sculpture that represented the upcoming millennium. The “Imagine Art Gallery” in Sedona had a special exhibit on 9/9/1999 I said to myself, 2,000 years after the death of Christ we are still having religious wars. I created and named my sculpture “In the name of God” The statement that came with the sculpture was; “In the name of God, why has so much blood been shed? These symbols are not a license for Prejudice, injustice and death. They are symbols of Peace, Love, and Harmony in the name of God.” The owner of the “Sedona creative Life Center” purchased the sculpture. Her reasoning was that she didn’t want people coming to her retreat to have any religious prejudice. Only, to have a direct connect with God. At some point I took the sculpture apart and made it look much taller allowing a person to walk inside it. I took a photo looking up added the caption and send it off to an International Exhibit entitled “Embracing our Differences” in Sarasota, Florida. More than 2,000 entrants from 43 countries and 38 States submitted their works. 39 artists were chosen. My photo ended up being displayed on one of the Bill Boards. Since then I have designed an 18 Foot interactive steal sculpture you can view on my site. Please help me find the resources to construct this sculpture.
